You challenged the concept of the tribulation being judgment, referring back to the seals and the plagues of Revelation as if they were some separate entity. You also told me that you spend little to no time reading the old testament, so here is the underlying problem.
I think an attempt at establishing what this time we call the tribulation is, is in order.
I love the thought of living in a glass house in winter. Just the thought of feeling the sun’s rays without that icy wind gives me that warm all over feeling. Summer would not be an option unless one is related to a turkey. The thing with a glass house is it would have to be far away from civilization, that or great neighbours. Sleepless nights wondering if the neighbours will be throwing rocks through my walls because of something I said or did that day.
People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
Die kerk het verstrooid geraak. Christene draai daagliks weg, van die kerk en ons Heer en Verlosser, Jesus Christus. In die meeste kerke is daar geen eenheid, selfs in gemeentes wat onder ‘n moederkerk val.
The church has become scattered. Christians are turning away daily, from the church and our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. In most churches, there is little or no unity, even in congregations falling under a mother church.
1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 NIV (2) for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. (3) While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. (4) But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.
