My days off are split but I am learning to live with it. I suppose that means no overnight trips into the desert to view the night sky, something I have not seen in over thirty years. But it would be good to have some recovery time for the feet. Oh well. I try to get as many things done in my one as possible, like laundry and early morning bible study. It is about the only day that I have time to sit at the keyboard and input based upon my previous thoughts I have written in my notepad.
This is a response I posted to a new blogger, on another site I go to.
I got on the computer this morning because I thought I had a plan, but all morning long I have run into people like you, and I cannot stop the tears.
When you ask "why things happen?", I don't know why either.
I am now 58, but at 25 Jesus appeared to me and laid my life out before me. I thought, I should write this down, but I did not, and in the morning, when I awoke, I could only remember that he had been there, and the joy I felt knowing the end result.
This was written, and I attempted to post it on Sunday, 1/15/12, but either the internet, or WordPress was having an issue so I am putting it up today. While some might say that the Lord did not want you to post it, another might say, that Satan did not want it posted. Roadblocks tend to make me more determined, and beside, you either have faith or not, and faith that I heard God's voice, tells me that he wanted me to put this up. So, buckle up and hang on.
This article presents a teaching tool that you can use that will help you to remember the names of the twelve "taught ones," that is, the Apostles of Christ Jesus. It should be noted that these were the closest companions of Jesus once he was baptized by John. It was after his baptism that he knew who he was and became the Christ.
When you think of hell, do you envision intense heat and torture, and pitch forks and the Devil and his demons tormenting the souls of sinful individuals who have died? All of this somewhere underneath or inside the bowels of the earth?
Where do these visions come from and how did they make there way into the thoughts and minds of so many?
Visions and images in the minds eye of a world engulfed in intense hardship and trouble. Some religious organizations teach that this time of trouble - Great Tribulation - will come upon all religion and all persons on earth. Are these things true or are such images of the imagination of men? Is all of this what Scripture teaches about the Great Tribulation?
Antichrist. Now here is a topic that has sparked much debate and speculation. Even the Motion Picture Industry has gotten into the act with it's making of "The Omen" in 1976.
What is interesting is that the making of this movie follows with the pattern of what many believe about Antichrist: That it is a singular powerful and influential end-time demon-seed and leader who come as an adversary of Christ.
But is the idea of an singular powerful adversarial leader spoken of in Scripture?
