Coffee Anyone?

Hello W.E.C. (Web Evangelism Cafe). Ok, I am new to this so i pray the Holy Spirit may guide me through this initial post. First off, I am very excited to be involved in this group I have to tell you all. My name is Mike, although the initial message introduces me as "Twiz".(HINT HINT David, if we could fix that it would be great,haha. Payne78 is my screen name inside the bible.org community.) Ok. So, I have titled this post "Coffee Anyone" because I have volunteered myself to be inside this little cafe to serve. The only problem is, this is my first day on the job. i don't know what to do. I am nervous. I have barely met anyone at all inside of bible.org at all. Haha, at times, I may even be a little on the shy side. So... my post, "Coffee Anyone?", is an ice breaker for us I hope. Lynn, if you are out there. GET IN HERE AND GET JOINED UP!!! (For those of you who don't know,Lynn is our other volunteer in the cafe here.)  We need you. In fact ladies and gentlemen, we need you all in here. God has called you and me to go forth into the world and make disciples. How are we going to do that? We are going to EVANGELIZE. How are we going to learn what it means to evangelize? We are going to meet here and learn to evangelize I hope. We are going to meet here and discuss the obstacles we face during our evangelisms, so that we may help one another get past any hurdles Satan may set before us to hinder our efforts to glorify our Father and save our brothers and sisters. I hope we may meet here in this cafe, bringing others with us, to whom we have evangelized to, that we may meet and praise Him for His success in finding another lost sheep, and shepherding them back into our group. Folks, there is no wait at the door in our cafe. Come in. Sit down. Hey, if a server isn't in to help you at the moment, don't be scared to grab an apron and notebook and begin serving one another. Thats what this cafe is about. Let's get it going folks. Time is ticking. Lives are passing. Souls will be burning. Let's each do our part to evangelize. God Bless You All.

Help in South Asia.

Hello,

I have been trying to figure out some different things that might be effective in leading people to understand the True Christian Message in South Asia.

Here is what I am thinking about, there are millions of South Asians on Facebook, and other social networking sites but most have not yet heard the simple good news, how can they get it.  Is there any way to develop an app, link in php or other ad that might be beneficial to these millions that cannot get access any other way?  Perhaps an invitation and a link to an online Bible, or scripture in their language as MP3. 

I also thought about the South Asian languages, Hindi, Kannada, Bengali, Tamil, etc that are readily available for use, these I can find people to help translate but just need a place to host, and a way to set the ad that is appropriate.  Any ideas?

evangelizing south asia online

Shan, This is a great request and exactly the kind of  thing we are looking for in W.E.C. I was just reading a post by David Austin, speaking on the topic of using the social networking sites as a means of reaching others. I am fully in support and would love to see this method used more successfully than what i have seen in the past. As for an immediate response today, i do not have an answer. However, we would love to see you stick around with our group as we learn how God will use us for His purposes. I am quite certain as our group begins to grow and we begin to meet one another and learn what our intersts and capabilities are, there is a very good possibility that you may find what you need to accomplish this goal. The church my father attends was involved and may still be involved in a program in which small crank recorders were loaded up with gospel in various African languages to be dropped off at different villages throughout Africa. I will have to do some checking into it but this may be an organization that you may find helpful. Please have patience with our group as we have just begun to get started in this. I am hopeful to see more of you around my friend, as time goes on and as resources become available and we become more knowledgable.
