From "Jason"

After reading the article on "The Mosaic Law: Its Function and Purpose in the New Testament" I feel that I have gained a better understanding of a very confusing and controversial topic of our faith. I will use this to further my research of the bible and its true meaning that pertains to its teaching and meaning behind its teaching.

Blessings from your brother in Christ!!!

Your Mosaic Law article was well done and accurate

Having lived in Jerusalem for much of the past 10 years, I have spent much time praying against the deception that is quickly slipping into many Churches--trying to live the Christian life astraddle both the Old and New Testaments.

Your article gave the pertinent info with clarity and compassion.  Many of the people who are drawn to combining OT with the NT seem to come from the overachievers group.  Protestant Churches have begun carrying the Torah through the isles to be kissed, setting up hoopahs over the altar at the front of the Church, wearing Jewish attire, etc.

In the transition period from OT to NT, it was the Jews who were attempting to pull  believers back from the Gospel of Grace into the Law.  Today the charge back to the Law seems to be lead by Christians themselves, many of them Church leaders.  In a Jewish Messianic Congregation finding men sitting in one section and women in another might be overlooked, as would blowing of silver trumpets, celebrating feast days, etc.  But when in Christian circles these OT practices begin to be common place--it is definitely time for a work such as you wrote to be put forth.

I realize you wrote this in 2004, but it is actually more needed today.  Blessings!
