This group is for Pastors and professors who use the NET Bible for study and public teaching.
Bible.org would like to support Pastors and professors who are using the NET Bible in a special way.
- As the sponsor of the NET Bible, we would like to enhance what is already the Best Modern Bible translation and make it better. The NET Bible is known for the note system that allows everyone to better understand why the scholars choose the English translation they did (allowing people to better understand the truth of God's revelation). It is also known for its open translation process where it has an online comments database for anyone to communicate back to the scholars as they work on improving the translation to make it even better over time.
- Bible.org wants to expand the note system, giving pastors who are using the NET Bible in their sermons even greater access to the scholars. We plan to do this in 2 ways: 1- expand and refine the current note system and 2- produce an audio note (an) that addresses textual areas that pastors think needs additional explanation or areas that are "problem areas". This new audio note will expand the note system producing an audio note that allows the NET Bible scholars to further explain the biblical text. (your comments below are appreciated)
- Bible.org is willing to produce special tools that you need to understand the Scripture and communicate those truths of it to your flock. (Suggest some below. eg Do you need a better Bible verse inserter into Power Point slides?) or maybe access to over 500 years of the Galaxie Theological Journal Library or a simple bible reader you can put on your church web site and include on your church CD's. (give us your thoughts below)
- Bible.org would like to feature here on users.bible.org sermons from pastors who are using the NET Bible as their base translation. If this is of interest to you add a post with a link to your site and if you have sermons on your site include the reference for details see the next post.

ps HELP NEEDED, I would like to get a volunteer to manage this page and support pastors and churches that may want to put links to their church website and sermon series. Or if they don't have a church web site that supports streaming their sermons to work with them to host them here on users.. (some office skills needed and we will train you to work with the users web site) email me.

Submitted by simonpeter on Sun, 06/12/2011 - 07:22.Our church is also planning to use NetBible soon. Your site helps us understand the Scripture more. I was glad that one of my micro niche finder review teammate introduced this site to me. You explain the biblical texts as comprehensive as possible.
Teaching from the NET bible
Submitted by patanders on Tue, 03/02/2010 - 11:34.Dear group --
I am so very thankful to have this resource available! Prior to being called to this ministry, my wife and I were without the majority of our income for seven months. I sold my library bit by bit to keep us afloat. This included most of my commentaries and biblical language texts. Even though I have not been able to replace my library, my congregation is still able to benefit from my seminary studies because of the wealthy of resource in the Net Bible and Bible.org.

Submitted by runlong3 on Tue, 03/02/2010 - 09:55.I enthusiastically endorse and use the NET Bible in my sermon preparation (as my default English translation in my Logos Bible software) as well as in almost all the PowerPoint slides where a Scripture verse or passage is used. What a blessing the NET Bible is along with its extensive notes, a very valuable resource.

Verse by Verse
Submitted by ronsnider on Tue, 03/02/2010 - 08:12.While I do not make exclusive use of the NET Bible, I reference it frequently in my teaching notes. I teach the Bible in a verse by verse fashion from the original languages, employing the literal, grammatical, historical hermeneutic. My goal is to present believers complete in Christ (Col. 1:18), and to that end, I am absorbed in the systematic study and communication of sound doctrine, recognizing that the Word of God is the agent of experiential sanctification. ITim. 4:15-16
While we are small in number, and I work two part-time jobs to provide some of my living grace, I make frequent use of the material at Bible.org, particularly the technical material on the languages (like Dan Wallace) and in the technical commentaries provided online (as opposed to the sermon material).
Our Bible classes are online at Makarios-online.org, but must be accessed with Real Audio, which is provided free of charge, as is all our information. Matt. 10:8; ICor. 2:12
