This group will plan for a chinese web project. This project is just geting started and is open to members who are interested in puting together a plan on how to use the assets of bible.org and the partners to support a Chinese "bible.org" type site with "ministry first" principles to support both leaders around the world ministering to Chinese people as well as an individual Chinese user.
I would like to see the group come together and we elect a chairman who knows Chinese and is well connected with Chinese scholars and technical folks so we can make steady progress on opportunities that the Lord sends our way as HE opens doors and sends us servants to work on his plan for us to expand the Kingdom of God.
Status:
- 10/30/09 i have added paul tosha to the group and he will be a customer representative, if you will. ... Paul has some friends (who will be customers/users of this project. they want to remain anonymous so paul will represent them and act like a customer representative to the development)
- 10/1/2009 (I asked Eddy (causenet ) to take the role of interium Chairman and he has grasiously agreed
- After a phase 1 plan is approved and staffed this group will oversee the project.

new chinese bible reader
hi, i have tested sword api, it works good with php. so i plan to develop a php module to show it on the web in two month.
the offline version may use some mature software like e-sword and bibletime, i don't think we can develop a better one in short time.
first of all, i need some volunteers to convert the net chinese version from winword to osis or other format that sword api can deal.

Getting started on the chinese support project.
