SwordBible is another program available through Crosswire.org.  It shares many features with some of the other Crosswire products, such as The Sword Project and Bible Desktop.  It is FREE, and there is a compact version that can be downloaded onto a USB flash drive, so you can use it on any computer. 

  • NET Bible Free Version is available on SwordBible.  In fact, the Install Manager for SwordBible is exactly the same as the Install Manager for The Sword Project, so any Bible available on The Sword Project is also available on SwordBible.
  • The layout is not very flexible.  You can maximize the Bible window or the Commentary window, or change the sizes of some of the windows, but that's about it.
  • Like The Sword Project, downloads of Bible and commentary modules are pretty quick.

Weird problem with SwordBible

Has anyone else used SwordBible?  I used it several months ago, and had no problems with it.  So, today, I tried it out again, just for fun, and got all kinds of error messages.  I tried reinstalling the program, and could NOT get it to work at all.  Any ideas?
