One of the Dificult things I run into, specifically today, Is the energy to get out there and do it, just one more time. Had a great Bible study last night, a few cups of coffee, and voila' up half the night and still had to get up early for the day. Ok, so my days aren't that early but still; dragging yourself out the gym, or dojo, or wherever, is still dificult if you dont sleep well.
It's a good thing i started this program on sunday morning, aug 30. so all I have to do is count 7's each week to remember how long i've been up to this. I was just countin' days till I remembered that August has 31 days. So today was day 23, and a couple days I put in a whole extra hour, and a couple extra half hours. Total = apprx. 28 hours in 23 days.
Here's the part I really detest. See... I started so I could lose a couple pounds. Well... Not yet. By week two I added 3.5 pounds of water weight due to micro muscle damage. After week 4 my weight is back to 204, but my stamina is such that I am not totally fatigued after 1.5 hours of cardio. I shoot for an hour, but some days I feel I could just go and go. DARN clock!!!! Gotta work though.
Life has a whole bunch of things that try to convince us that its useless! Results dont happen fast enough, redundant activity, LIFE, alarm clock failure, etcetera. The main thing is just to GET OUT THERE and assume the first position. For me its crunches. I go and lay on the floor for a second, and then it happens. LOL, you'll like this. I start calling myself names, like ok Mr. lazy bones, and off I go.
I just keep remembering that it takes 21 days to change a habit. 7 to withdraw from the old one, 7 days to get used to not doing the old one, and 7 days to program the new one in. However, even after all that, it's still a struggle sometimes to stay away from the couch. (my old habit)
Having remembered the weapons forms I once learned, I now have 15 different forms (or patterns) to practice. It takes me about an hour to warm up and complete one run through each. Now I just need someone to be my throw dummy for the 75 self-defenses, and then If I get a chance, maybe some Aikido. A friend of mine wants to practice Jiujitsu but I've discovered, while being an excellent workout, I just dont like it. Too much like wrestling. Yucko. Something about two sweaty guys rolling around trying to outlock the other, I just cant get used to. I can watch it but sure dont wanna participate in it.

17 days and still stickin’ to it!!! One key to keeping in shape is.... wait for it, "PRAYER". I find that if I forget to start my day with a word with the Lord, no matter how long, my day is a struggle. I have on occasion used the time directly after to take a quiet moment to have some good prayer. The body is feeling a little fatigue and becomes quiet in a resting position. I can be more focused.
I Like to remind myself to thank God for the ability to take a part in the physical reversal of some of the damage I have done to myself throughout my life. I still need the Ultimate Physician, Jesus Christ, to finish the healing process. But, for me, I feel that I need to take the first step to recovering my health, while at the same time praying for strength to stand firm to the end of my workout.
The hard part is those mornings, like today, when I just don’t feel like it. However, I begrudgingly drag my sorry self to the dojo and flop on the floor. While I’m there I might as well do something, and so it begins.
The Best way to beat the days of no enthusiasm is to keep taking the first step. If you lean forward, the lack of balance will cause the other foot to follow.
WOW, the day is over and I’m looking forward to tomorrow's work out.
My favorite part of practicing Tae Kwon Do was always the patterns. I could do them slow and controlled with intensity or do them fast for speed either way they are a great workout!! There are so many misconceptions in the christian community about martial arts that a great form of exercise isn't even attempted!
Speaking of warm ups - soon I'll be off to the gym myself!
Thanks for the great reminder that we need to give God the glory with everything we do - including our workouts!
I agree with you, david, we need to brainstorming the next step.
i am working on some translating, but we can not depend on one single person but more. so we need to invit more people. i will try to find some.
as the programming, i think it's a good idea to redo a chinese version http://netbible.org, so that we can let more chinese scholars to add things in.
I don't trust google translate, it may bring things harder. I think it will need more time to edit the google translate than translate from the original english. and also it's hard to keep the quality of the ariticle if we accept the strategy.
I think we need to start out by brainstorming the actions we want to do..
our http://netbible.org team is working on a chinese version of a study tool...
we could redo the site and produce one with chinese navigation and attempt to local Chinese scholars to add content here.. to share with all.. However, build a search engine for chinese would have to be added to the project.
another thing we could do is to test the google translate and see how the articles on bible.org look in chinese... that might be a start to produce those articles in chinese.

go to http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?tag=contentBody;mostPopTwoColWrap
note they have a staff cnet review
CNET editors' review
and a users rank with words and a 5 star rating..summary
See all user reviews
in a similar way we could have a review board that could give a staff review and then the users could review it
leave comments? I assume you mean something different than we are doing now. explain.
Also, why sep. ranks?
.
it is now :)
is the module installed and active?
I don't think users need instructions... they just click to select the appropriate amount of stars reflecting their rating of the content.

I like it - general enough to cover how we've grown and might grown.
