Origin

The layman's ideas of Origin depend on his/her exposure to "science" and/or "religion".

I have written before explaining, that while the basis of the "scientific method" is logically sound there is a limitation beyond which we move into CONJECTURE, and PROUD men have EXTRAPOLATED "factual science" into THEIR THEORIES..... which they are promoting throughout academia  with all the fervor associated with "religious fanatics", thus they are guilty of the same behavior as the people that they "despise".

Here is a viewpoint that reconciles some of the conflicts between "science" and "religion" ...as it relates to Origin.... here are the points to ponder....

1.  There is a FULL STOP between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2, therefore the two should NOT be "taken together"

2.  God did NOT create the earth "without shape and empty" because

Isaiah 45:18 uses the same Hebrew word "tohu" (here it is translated "without order")..... except there is an explicit negative in front of it.... i.e  NOT tohu

3.  The face of the earth bears the marks of a violent and catastrophic past

4.  The word rendered "was" in Genesis 1:2 may also be translated "became"

5. The Hebrew expression translated "without shape and empty" is "tohu wabohu" and it is used to describe a condition produced by Divine judgement in the only other two texts where these words appear together.

So here is how it could have gone down.... consistent with the Bible...

In the very distant past, Lucifer ruled over a perfect earth (but his domain did NOT include humans because they had not yet been created) ..... EVIL sprang up spontaneously in the heart of Lucifer (read Isaiah 14:12-17) and God destroyed his territory (in "natural" catastrophe on the earth, from the scientists point of view).... this divine judgement on Lucifer and his territory proved to the whole Host of Heaven the utter futility of any created being even thinking that they could "compete" with God for the Power and the Glory.

Lucifer became Satan.... he was left to wander around his ruined "former" paradise for countless eons of time totally UNABLE to do anything about it because he does not have the power to create worlds.... his utter HATRED of God grew and grew.

Eventually, God repaired the earth and created man on it (to take care of it and to rule it)  ..... Satan was amazed... not only was God giving "his" territory to another "species", but a "weak and inferior" one at that !

With ease, Satan was able to get the first humans to join him in his rebellion against God thus assuring his own continued domination of the earth.

Through the Sufferings of the Saints, God is creating Rulers who will never make Lucifer's "mistake"...... the whole Host of Heaven is watching as God.... through His Church.... overcomes the world, the flesh and the Devil.

The Saints, bought with the Blood of the Lamb..... all serve the Lord VOLUNTARILY and yield their wills to His Perfect Will with Love and Adoration forever and forever.... eventually all rebellion will be put down, and the Universe will have peace, because the  Perfect Will of God will  once again be Universal.

"As it was in the beginning .......... and ever shall be, world without end. Amen."

Because science only analyses the MATERIAL.... they cannot understand this Conflict of the Ages.... but everything material is subject to the Power of God and was created Out of Nothing at all !

Though there are "natural" laws that have "normal consequences" as part of the Order in the Universe....  God is NOT bound by these physical limitations.... hence on occasions of His choosing ANYTHING is possible.... in fact, all "miracles" violate the "natural order" of things.

Most scientists are "myopic" to the "material"..... which is sad.... the material universe is merely a "reflection" of God's Glory..... a "stage", if you will.... on which the whole Host of Heaven are learning about the Wonder of God.... who created them all.
