Two taut ships set sail,
One's to fly banners and streamers,
The other setting grey and pale,
Plays that 'Stars and Stripes' forever.
How it happened no one knows,
Somehow one got 'rocked and rolled',
While the twain set tos and fros,
Wave's a flag of Burning Gold.
Lifesaver floating, reaches for a hand,
Westwardly sets the sun we see,
Cool reflections touch a melted land,
